Devotional Reading: Romans 12:6–8 (NLT)
Devotional Reading
“In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well... If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well... If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously.”
Devotional Thought:
God has given every believer something to contribute. Romans 12 reminds us that our gifts are different, but every gift comes from the same source: God’s grace. Whether you teach, serve, encourage, give, lead, or show kindness, your gift has a purpose.
The focus of these verses is not simply discovering your gift. It is faithfully using it. Paul repeatedly tells believers to do what God has equipped them to do and to do it well. Your gift was never intended to sit unused while you wait for the perfect opportunity, position, or recognition.
God does not need you to do everything. He asks you to faithfully steward what He has given you. When each person embraces their assignment, the church becomes healthier, stronger, and better equipped to serve others.

Practical Application
- Identify where God has gifted you and commit to developing that area.
- Use your gift consistently, even when your contribution feels small.
- Serve with excellence rather than seeking recognition.
- Encourage someone else in the gift you see God developing in them.
Devotional Prayer
Father, thank You for the gifts You have given me through Your grace. Help me recognize what You have placed in my life and use it faithfully. Give me humility, discipline, and a willing heart to serve others well. May everything I do strengthen Your church and bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
