Devotional Reading: Romans 8:14 (NLT)
Devotional Reading
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.”
Devotional Thought:
Being led by the Holy Spirit does not mean following feelings, impulses, or whatever seems right in the moment. The Holy Spirit always leads in agreement with God’s Word. He does not contradict Scripture. He helps us understand it, apply it, and obey it.
Many people want God’s direction, but biblical guidance is never separate from biblical truth. The Spirit leads with peace, conviction, wisdom, and clarity, but always in line with what God has already revealed in His Word. If a thought, desire, or decision goes against Scripture, it is not the Spirit leading.
To be led by the Spirit is to live surrendered to God, sensitive to His voice, and rooted in His truth. The more we stay in the Word, the more we recognize His leading.

Practical Application
- Spend time in the Word daily so you can recognize what aligns with God’s voice.
- Before making decisions, ask, “Does this agree with God’s Word?”
- Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, then obey what God has made clear.
Devotional Prayer
Father, In Jesus Name, I thank You for giving me Your Spirit to lead me. Help me stay grounded in Your Word so I can recognize Your voice. Keep me from following my emotions or opinions over Your truth. Teach me to walk by Your Spirit and live in obedience to Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
