Devotional Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:18–20 (ESV)
Devotional Reading
“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation… Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.”
Devotional Thought:
Paul reminds us that reconciliation begins with God. We were separated from Him because of sin, but through Christ, God brought us back into relationship with Himself. He did not stop there. He also gave us the ministry of reconciliation. That means every believer has a calling to reflect the heart of God and help point people back to Him.
An ambassador represents the authority, values, and message of the one who sent them. As followers of Jesus, we are called to represent Christ well in how we live, how we speak, and how we love others. We are not sent to win arguments, but to carry the message that peace with God is possible through Jesus.
This passage challenges us to see our everyday lives differently. At home, at work, at church, and in our communities, we are Christ’s representatives. God wants to use our words, our attitude, and our actions to draw people to Himself.

Practical Application
- Ask God to help you represent Jesus well in your conversations and relationships.
- Look for opportunities to bring peace, healing, and grace where there is tension or division.
- Remember that your witness includes both your words and your character.
- Pray for boldness to share the message of Christ when God opens the door.
Devotional Prayer
Father, In Jesus Name, thank You for reconciling me to Yourself through Jesus. Help me live as a faithful ambassador for Christ. Let my words, attitude, and actions reflect Your heart. Use me to bring peace, point people to Jesus, and carry the message of reconciliation with grace and boldness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
