John 19:28-29 NLT
"Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture, he said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips.
In one of His final moments on the cross, Jesus said something striking: "I am thirsty." At first glance, it seems like a simple statement of physical need. After all, He was suffering, bleeding, and nearing death. But these words were more than just about His physical state; they were full of spiritual weight and purpose. Jesus, the Living Water (See John 4:10) became thirsty so we could be satisfied.
The One who offers eternal refreshment allowed Himself to run dry for our sake. He felt the fullness of human need and pain, and even in suffering, He fulfilled Scripture to complete His mission.

Practical Application
Start your day with Living Water.
Before checking your phone or email, first pause to pray and read your bible. Let God quench your soul before the world tries to fill it.
Identify what’s draining you.
Is it a habit, relationship, or fear? Surrender it to God and ask Him to replace it with peace and clarity.
Offer refreshment to others.
Reach out with a kind word, prayer, or encouragement. As you pour out, God will pour into you. Remember Proverbs 11:25
