Devotional Reading: Hebrews 11:31 NIV
Devotional Reading
"By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient."
Rahab’s name appears in one of the most remarkable places in Scripture, Hebrews 11, the Hall of Faith. What’s interesting is that her title, “the prostitute,” is still attached to her name. Yet, that title only magnifies the grace and power of God.
Rahab lived in Jericho, a city destined for destruction. But when she heard about the God of Israel, the God who split the Red Sea and delivered His people, she chose faith over fear. She hid the Israelite spies and risked her life to align herself with God’s purpose. Her faith not only saved her life but also changed her legacy. She became part of Israel’s community and even entered the genealogy of Jesus (See Matthew 1:5).
Rahab’s story teaches us that faith has the power to rewrite our past and redefine our future. God doesn’t choose perfect people; He transforms willing ones. No matter your background or mistakes, when you respond to God in faith, your story becomes a testimony of redemption.
Practical Application
Believe that God can use you:
Your past doesn’t disqualify you; it prepares you to show others His grace.
Act on your faith:
Like Rahab, take courageous steps even when it’s risky or unpopular.
Remember your legacy:
Every act of obedience today can shape generations tomorrow.

Devotional Prayer
Father, I thank You for the story of Rahab, a reminder that faith can rewrite any past. Help me to trust You enough to act courageously, to align my life with Your will, and to believe that You can use me for something greater. May my life be a testimony of Your transforming grace. Amen.
