Flawed Pt. 3

Devotional Reading: Hebrews 11:7 NIV

Devotional Reading

"By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith."

Noah’s story is one of radical trust. God warned him about a coming flood, something Noah had never seen before, and commanded him to build an ark. Despite ridicule, doubt, and years of waiting, Noah obeyed. His faith was not passive belief but active obedience. He built when there were no clouds, trusted when there was no evidence, and saved his family because he acted on God’s word.

Faith often calls us to prepare for what is not yet visible. It means trusting God’s voice over popular opinion, obedience over convenience, and perseverance over immediate results. Noah reminds us that faith doesn’t just change our future, it can change the future of those we love.

Practical Application
Obey even when it’s hard:

Take the next step God has asked of you, even if it feels unclear or unpopular.

Build your “ark”:
Invest in your faith, family, or calling now, even if you don’t yet see the fruit.

Choose holy fear:
Let reverence for God weigh more than the fear of people’s opinions.

Think generationally:
Your faith decisions today can bless your family and others tomorrow.

Devotional Prayer

Father in Jesus Name, I ask that you give me Noah’s kind of faith; the courage to trust You when I cannot yet see the outcome. Help me to obey even when it’s difficult, to build what You’ve called me to, and to leave a legacy of righteousness that blesses my family and honors You. Amen.
