Devotional Reading: 1 Peter 4:10 (NLT)
Devotional Reading
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
Devotional Thought:
God has placed something valuable inside every believer. Your gift may be teaching, encouraging, leading, serving, giving, creating, organizing, or caring for others. Whatever your gift is, it was not given only for your benefit. It was given so you could serve others and help strengthen the body of Christ.
Peter reminds us to use our gifts well. This means we should not ignore them, compare them with someone else’s gifts, or wait until we feel completely ready. Faithfulness begins with using what God has already placed in our hands.
You do not need a title, platform, or perfect opportunity to make a difference. Every time you use your gift with humility and love, you become a channel of God’s grace to someone else.

Practical Application
- Identify one gift or strength God has placed in you.
- Stop comparing your gift to others and focus on being faithful with your own.
- Ask God to help you grow in skill, humility, and consistency.
Devotional Prayer
Father, thank You for the gifts You have placed in me. Help me recognize them, develop them, and use them well. Keep me from comparison, fear, or pride. Show me where I can serve others and reflect Your grace through what You have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
