Jehovah: The Relational God

"God said to Moses, “I am who I am." This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’'
-Exodus 3:14 NIV

In this scripture, "I am who I am" is translated as "I will be who I will be." ‌It is also translated; "I am the existing one."

Elohim is God’s creative name. It is God’s powerful name. Jehovah is God’s personal name. It is God’s self-revealing name.

When Moses asked God for his name, God used Yahweh; he used “I am.” ‌Elohim helps us understand His Power, and it allows us to understand His might. Jehovah helps us understand his character.

Begin to trust God, begin to trust Jehovah, knowing that He is the God who personally reveals himself to us. God wants a personal relationship with you. He doesn't want you to know Him just for His power; He wants you to know Him because of His love for you.
