Psalms 34:10 NIV
“The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
Reflection
“The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
Even the strongest and fiercest of creatures, the lion, can find themselves in need. Strength, power, and status don’t guarantee provision. But God does. This verse reminds us that our proper security doesn't lie in what we possess, how much we earn, or how capable we feel. It lies in our pursuit of the Lord.
To “seek the Lord” means to prioritize Him. We prioritize Him through prayer, obedience, trust, and daily dependence. When we do, we’re promised we will lack no good thing. That doesn’t mean we’ll always have what we want, but we’ll never be without what we need to walk in God’s purpose.

Practical Application
Start each day with God.
Before checking your phone or diving into your to-do list, pause for a moment of prayer or scripture reading.
Trust God in areas of lack.
When you’re facing a need, whether it's financial, emotional, or relational, ask yourself: Have I truly sought the Lord about this? Is God my source or my backup plan?
Practice contentment.
Make a list of 3 ways God has already provided for you this week. Let that fuel your faith for what’s next.
Devotional Prayer:
Father in Jesus' Name, I ask that You help me to seek You first in all things. Remind me that I will never lack anything good when I’m walking with You. Teach me to trust Your timing and provision. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
