Elohim: The Strong & Powerful God

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
-Genesis 1:1 NKJV

The word used for God in this verse is the word Elohim. Elohim means the Strong and Powerful God. He is the Strong Creator God.

The VERY first verse in Scripture reveals an essential characteristic of our heavenly Father - the Creator. This is our first impression of him, and it starts by telling us He’s a creator.

First impressions are important. In Scripture, the first time a word or phrase appears, it is important. ‌The first mention usually sets a precedent; it establishes a pattern ‌or a biblical concept you will see later in scripture.

‌In the verse's first mention of God, we see He is the creator. Our Heavenly Father can create.
The challenges we face in our lives are no competition for Elohim. He is a Strong and Powerful God.

Begin to trust God, begin to trust Elohim, knowing that the Strong creator God is with you and wants to demonstrate His power in your life.
