Psalms 133:1 NIV
"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"
Reflection
Unity is more than just “getting along.” It is the visible expression of God’s love at work among His people. The psalmist reminds us that unity is both good (morally right, God-honoring) and pleasant (life-giving, refreshing to the soul).
When God’s people are united, His presence is magnified, and His blessings flow freely. Division, on the other hand, weakens our witness and drains our joy. Unity does not mean uniformity, God created us with different personalities, gifts, and callings. Instead, unity means choosing love, humility, and peace over pride, preference, or personal agenda.
In our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities, unity requires intentional effort. It means extending grace when offended, seeking understanding before judgment, and remembering that Christ Himself prayed for our oneness (See John 17:21).

Practical Application
At Home:
Commit to resolving conflicts quickly instead of letting frustration linger.
At Work/Church:
Practice listening more than speaking. Look for common goals rather than focusing on differences.
With Friends/Community:
Be a peacemaker. If gossip or negativity arises, steer the conversation toward encouragement and truth.
Devotional Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me of the goodness of unity. Help me to be a person who builds bridges, not walls. Give me the humility to listen, the grace to forgive, and the courage to pursue peace. May my life reflect the beauty of Your love working in harmony with others.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
