Devotional Reading: Luke 18:1 NIV
Devotional Reading
"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”
The 21 days of prayer and fasting may be complete, but the work God has begun in you is not. Luke 18:1 reminds us that prayer was never meant to be seasonal; it was meant to be continual. Jesus told this parable so His disciples would always pray and not give up, especially when answers seem delayed.
Fasting may have sharpened your focus and deepened your dependence on God, but prayer is what sustains that alignment in the long term. The temptation after a focused season like this is to relax spiritually. Instead, Jesus invites us to remain persistent. What you started during the fast is meant to become a lifestyle.
Some prayers planted during these 21 days may not have visible answers yet, but that does not mean God is silent or inactive. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep showing up.
Practical Application:
Carry the habit forward:
Maintain a daily prayer rhythm even without fasting.
Hold onto what God showed you:
Write down insights, scriptures, or directions received during the fast.
Trust God’s timing:
Persistence keeps your heart aligned while God works behind the scenes.

Devotional Prayer
Father, I thank You for meeting me during these 21 days. As I move forward, help me not to give up or grow weary in prayer. Teach me to remain faithful, confident, and persistent as I wait on You. What You began in me, carry to completion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
