Devotional Reading: Matthew 6:10 NIV
Devotional Reading
"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
Surrender is the hardest part of prayer. We want to tell God our plans and ask Him to bless them. But Jesus teaches us to pray, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done." This is about alignment, not achievement. Even Jesus, facing the cross, prayed, "Not My will, but Yours be done." True prayer isn't getting God to do what you want; it's positioning yourself to want what God wants. His will is always better than yours, even when you can't see it.
This week, release control of that situation you've been gripping tightly. Stop treating prayer like a wish list and start treating it like a surrender flag. The satisfaction you're searching for is found when you fully commit to His purpose and plan for your life.
Reflection Question:
What situation do you need to surrender to God's will this week, even if it's not what you want?

Devotional Prayer
Father, today I come to You with an open heart. I pray what Jesus taught us: Your kingdom come. Your will be done here on earth, just like it is in heaven.
Help me let go of my own plans and trust Yours instead. As I fast this week, teach me to want what You want. When I feel uncomfortable or uncertain, remind me that You are in control.
Let Your peace guide my choices, Your truth shape my thoughts, and Your purpose guide my steps. I want my life to reflect heaven in the way I love, forgive, and obey. Have Your way in me, Father.
I trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
