Devotional Reading: Acts 1:8 (NLT)
Devotional Reading
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…”
Devotional Thought:
Jesus did not call His disciples to represent Him in their own strength. He promised power through the Holy Spirit. That power was not given for status or attention. It was given so they could be effective witnesses for Christ.
The same is true for us today. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live boldly, speak truthfully, love consistently, and reflect Jesus. Witnessing is not just about standing behind a pulpit or having all the right words. It is about living a life that points people to Jesus at home, at work, in church, and in everyday conversations.
God will never asks us to fulfill His mission on our own. He gives us His Spirit so we can walk in courage, wisdom, and power. We are not called to be impressive. We are called to be available and obedient.

Practical Application
- Start your day by asking the Holy Spirit to fill you and use you.
- Look for everyday opportunities to reflect Christ through your words and actions.
- Do not let fear keep you silent when God gives you a chance to share your faith.
- Remember that being a witness includes both how you live and what you say.
Devotional Prayer
Father In Jesus Name, thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me not to rely on my own strength, but to live each day empowered by You. Make me a bold and faithful witness in the places You have called me. Let my life point others to Jesus. In His name, Amen.
