Financial Management

"Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.”
Proverbs 3:9-10 NLT

Reflection

These verses remind us to honor God with our time, talents, and financial resources. The call to give the "best part" suggests a principle of prioritization—giving to God first rather than as an afterthought. Honoring God with our finances demonstrates our faith and trust in Him as the source of everything we have.

The promise that follows emphasizes the blessings that come from this obedience. It’s an amazing reminder that we position ourselves to His abundance when we align our finances with God’s principles.

Practical Application

Create a Giving Plan
Take time to set up a monthly spending plan with a portion dedicated to giving. Make it a priority rather than an afterthought.

Meditate on Your "Best"
Consider what "the best part" means for you. It could be the first portion of your paycheck or an intentional effort to increase your giving over time. Aim to be a generous and joyful giver.

Seek God’s Guidance
Before making significant financial decisions, pray for wisdom. Ask God to help you discern how to use your resources to honor Him and bless others.

By prioritizing God in our finances, we not only bless His Kingdom work but also experience the joy and peace that come from living in alignment with His will. Let’s embrace the opportunity to honor Him with our finances and trust in His promise of provision.
